The purpose of this paper and presentation is for the student to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the importance of management, and the five major functions of management. This research paper will provide students with an opportunity to apply key management concepts to a company case study. The student will select a company of their chose (the company cannot be the same as the company the student used to write their midterm paper) to research and compile a detailed paper. Both report and the presentation should summarize your analysis, answer questions that are raised, and demonstrate a good understanding of theories and concepts covered in the text and throughout our discussions. This assignment provides students with additional opportunity to strengthen their written and presentation skills. Student’s can use the following questions as a guide in their analysis:

Identify the organization’s environment and whether it is a national or international company
Identify their business strategy
Identify how they manage organization change and innovation
Identify their financial stability or instability
Identify one key human resource element that supports their business strategy
Would this be a company you would want to work for; why or why not

The paper will be graded based upon content and quality. Content – satisfies requirements, is logical and draws conclusions, must emphasize course subject matter. Quality – is effective, to the point, persuasive, contains minimal spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors, four pages in length (do not exceed the page limit) be double-spaced, 12 font, no more than five pages using APA format and include a work cited page and a minimum of two external research sources in addition to the text. Any project submitted after the due date will be penalized one letter grade.
