Details:
This essay assignment is to be based upon your critical reading of T.C. Boyle’s short story, “Greasy Lake.”
Analyze one or two of the elements of fiction found in the titles of Chapters 7-13 of Portable literature (Plot, Character, Setting, Point of View, Style, Tone, Language, Symbol, Allegory, Myth, and/or Theme).
If you chose to analyze more than one element, you should demonstrate how the two elements are closely related and contribute to the overall effect of the short story.
You must cite the text of the short story for support. You may cite up to two outside sources, but outside sources should be limited to articles from peer reviewed scholarly journals.
