Your final assignment consist of producing a paper in which you develop a discussion supporting your thesis statement; that is, a theme that encapsulates what you best learned in this class.

What has resonated with me this semester the most are the following topics:

1. Banks and Baker (2016) human trafficking is an ancient practice. As such, alien smuggling is one of the practices human trafficker continue to use to fuel their transnational criminal enterprise. After the 9/11 attacks, undetected infiltration of terrorism via illegal border crossing has a been a major concern among U.S. policy makers and intelligence and law enforcement official.

2. Economy, imprisonment, and demography can be viewed as contributors to the crime decline in America during the 1990s,

After selecting your thesis statement use at least three (3) headings that can help you develop/organize the main subtopics supporting the focus of your paper (summarizing the study areas of the course that resonated with you the most).

Then, finish your discussion with a “Conclusion” where you highlight the main points of
your paper, your final viewpoints on those issues, and how your discussed areas of the
course will further your academic goals.

Your paper must be both formatted via APA rules and consistently supported (from cover
to cover) with scholarly references disclosed via your “References” section and in your
discussion (i.e., use of in-text citations, descriptive authoring attribution, etc.).

Failure to support statements requiring scholarly backing or attributable authorship
will be adversely impact your grade for this assignment and/or may cause the
rejection of your paper if the omissions (regardless of whether they are inadvertent,
negligent, reckless, or intentional) create plagiarism issues.

The overall format of your final paper needs to incorporate the following framework:
• Title Page (Formatted according to APA, NOT your artistic preferences)
• “Introduction” section that clearly states your selected thesis statement
• Body (at least 5 pages of analytical discussion divided with proper headers). Be
advised that title page, abstracts (which are not needed), and references sections are
excluded from this minimum page count requirement. Failure to meet the minimum
requirements will disqualify your paper.
• A “Conclusion” section (see below)
• A “References” section with no less than 10 scholarly sources (NOTE: failure to
comply with the minimum amount of scholarly references will automatically
disqualify your paper)

• LIMIT YOUR DIRECT QUOTES. This is not a long paper. Therefore, you
should not offer more than three direct quotes in this case. Doing otherwise will
muffle your voice in the paper, and its effect with adversely affect your grade.
• Do not use Wikipedia as a reference source. Use instead peer-reviewed articles,
academic journals, published dissertations or theses, text books, news articles, etc.
• Close your discussion with a “Conclusion” section identified with proper headings
(second level). This portion of your paper is where you offer summative statements
of what you addressed in your paper.
