You need to discuss the following question: Will Amazon.com, Inc. be able to disrupt the various industries it is foraying into? You need to submit a report (total of 5-6 pages) explaining the following things: • What are the industries that Amazon intends to enter? • What mode of entry does it prefer (acquisitions vs. growing organically)? – Justify. • Do you think that there are problems/inefficiencies which Amazon can resolve? • Are there are any recent examples where Amazon has done something similar (see: Pill Pack, Health Navigator, Whole Foods, Ring, etc.)? • Do you think Amazon’s valuation for the companies that it acquires are appropriate? You may also need to read related literature to clearly understand and express your findings. You will have to write a conclusion summing the past events and your expectations about the way forward for Amazon. General Guidelines: • You also need to read and cite at least 5 distinct articles from the WSJ or other financial press. • You can use multiple sources that you want but you should not indulge in plagiarism and must write your findings in your own words. If I discover that your report has been plagiarized, then strict action will be taken against you. • You need to use a standard font type (Times New Roman, Calibri, and Garamond) and the font-size needs to be 12. You must use line spacing of 1.5 and margins should not be greater than 1 inch. • You need to cite your sources. • The deadline for submitting the report is by midnight on December 8 th, 2020. • You need to submit your report as a word file on Canvas (a folder will be available). Please note that you should not email me your report (as that won’t count).
