Psychology Reflection Paper
A. Review the list of the ‘Top 10 Persistent Questions’. Choose any 2 and answer the question. Obviously your answer is your personal choice as there is no correct answer.
B. Give examples of the ‘Schools and Viewpoints’ and the ‘Ways of Knowing’ that are most consistent with your answer.
C. Discuss the answers you selected and the corresponding ‘Schools and Viewpoints’ and ‘Ways of Knowing’ in terms of how they might affect your life and how they might influence your personal and professional choices in the psychology field.
For example,
A. Your position is that nurture influences development more than nature.
B. Behaviorism is very consistent with your choice because if all behavior is learned and everything we do is done for a pay off then our environment would have a greater influence on us than our genetic or biological predisposition. Empiricism and science are ways of knowing that are consistent with this position.
C. Go into detail regarding how your choice will influence how you raise your children, how you look at and/or diagnose the problems others might have, and how you view your personal world and the world in general.
Each of the 2 questions you choose will require 3 or 4 pages.
