Greek Annotated Bibliography Document
Purpose of Assignment:
Step 1: Determine your Primary Argument
Note: The Annotated Bibliography is not a “paper” or “essay”. However, each student should work through the entire process as though an actual Argumentative “paper” or “essay” is required. The Annotated Bibliography represents everything but the actual written essay.
Step 2: Find 9 appropriate secondary source materials to support your argument.
Note: Over the course of the week dedicated to covering the Annotated Bibliography project, appropriate sources and research techniques will be covered. It is expected each student will embrace these techniques and apply them when completing the Annotated Bibliography Project.
Step 3: Each of the 9 Secondary Source Materials should be documented in APA
format.
Note: This documentation will reflect how each secondary source is acknowledged on a Works Cited Page. Additionally, a guide to this information is available in The Little Roadrunner Handbook on pages 170-207.
Step 4: Each APA citation will be followed by two paragraphs.

fully developed, and well supported. The sentence structure is polished, clear, and varied. Overall, the paper captures and maintains the audience’s attention through concrete details and specific, engaging examples; strong transitions; well- chosen and accurately cited 11research; and precise, audience-appropriate word choices. Additionally, the A paper is mechanically correct, carefully proofread, and presented in a professional format.
Letter Grade of B:
The paper is above average; it goes beyond the requirements of the assignment and possesses well-developed, accurate research as well as concrete, specific details and examples. The sentence structure is effective, and the word choices are clear and idiomatic. Mechanically, it has few errors, is carefully proofread, and maintains a professional format.
Letter Grade of C:
The paper is adequate; it meets the requirements of the assignment. It addresses the specific issue and is developed around an identifiable thesis. The thesis, while developed in a predictable way, is supported with researched facts and examples. It may have some trouble with organization, development, transitions, and proofreading. On the other hand, a C paper could be well developed but suffer from multiple mechanical and grammatical errors that compromise its overall quality.
Letter Grade of D:
The paper is below average; it does not meet the requirements of the assignment. It shows little understanding of the assignment or fails to address the issue. The paper may have no thesis, or the thesis may be vague and weakly supported. The organization of ideas is unclear. The presentation is marred by excessive mechanical errors, especially serious ones, or typos. This paper does not competently communicate a message to an audience.
Letter Grade of F:
The F paper is unacceptable; it fails to meet the requirements of the assignment. The topic or approach is completely unrelated to the assigned topic and lacks a clear thesis. The paper may have errors so numerous or serious that they interfere with the writer’s intended message.
